Mary Ludwig is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Her dissertation "Incarcerated Nations: Confinement, Removal, and Policing on the Colorado River Indian Reservation" examines how Indian policy underpins the carceral state. She teaches Indigenous History, History of the North American West, American History, and Public History.

Viktor Shmagin is an Assistant Professor of History at the ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê. His research examines early modern Japan-Russia-Ainu relations, focusing especially on the influence of imperialism in this dynamic. He teaches courses on premodern and modern East Asia, Japan, China, maritime Northeast Asia.
