Help Student Support Services help students in need

Dec. 6, 2021

The ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê Wood Center Food Pantry, Academic Advising Center and Student Support Services are again teaming up to help support ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê students in need during the long holiday break.

The COVID-19 pandemic has not discriminated, and the number of students experiencing food insecurities has grown exponentially.

Here's where you come in.

The ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê organizers are requesting monetary donations of any amount to help purchase Fred Meyer grocery gift cards, which will help minimize interactions and the number of items passing through many hands. . The amount on each gift card will be based on the number of people in the recipient’s family.

Any extra donations will go toward the ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê Wood Center Food Pantry, which serves all ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê students in Fairbanks.

Last year, more than $3,000 in gift certificates helped more than 27 students and their families — many with small children. Please join the effort to help our students over the winter break!
